Kratos is the Greek personification of strength. The name, and the Spartan helmet on the logo, are a statement about how we build a floor, not just what we call the company.

Why 'Kratos.'
In Greek mythology, Kratos is the personification of strength and power — not a god of war or luck, but the literal embodiment of raw physical force. That is a deliberate reference point for a company that installs floors, not a marketing flourish. A coated floor is only as good as the strength of the bond underneath it.
The Spartan helmet on our logo carries the same idea from a different angle: discipline. Spartan armor was built to a standard, not to a budget, and it was maintained, not replaced. That is the standard we hold our own prep work to — grinding, testing, and repairing a slab correctly instead of skipping steps that do not show up until the floor fails, years later.

Kratos Concrete Coatings is based in Glendale, Arizona, and works across the West Valley — Peoria, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Sun City and Buckeye. We are owner-operated?, founded in 2026?.
Being a local, owner-operated business means the person who quotes your floor is accountable for how it turns out — not a franchise call center passing your job to whichever subcontractor is available that week.

Licensed, bonded and insured?. We hold an Arizona Registrar of Contractors licence, classification CR-21? (Hard Surface Flooring?), licence number 000000?. Verify any contractor's licence directly with the Arizona ROC before you sign a contract with anyone, us included.
04 / WHAT WE REFUSE TO DO
Some shortcuts aren't worth taking.
We do not acid-etch a slab as a substitute for diamond grinding. Acid etching is faster and cheaper, and it is a common reason low-bid coatings peel within a year or two — it roughens the surface chemically without creating the mechanical profile a coating actually needs to bond.
We do not coat a slab that fails a moisture vapor test without addressing it first, either with a mitigating primer or, where the reading is beyond what a primer can responsibly handle, a direct conversation about why we will not install a coating that is going to blister loose from underneath. And we do not skip a primer step to save time on a schedule — see concrete repair & prep for exactly what that process looks like on your floor.
05 / WHAT THAT MEANS

Polyaspartic by default
Epoxy was built for cooler slabs. We install polyaspartic systems that stay bonded through Arizona summers and do not yellow in the sun.
Prep is not optional
Every slab is diamond-ground, not acid-etched. Cracks are chased and filled. Moisture is tested before a drop of coating goes down.
